Welcome to The ADHD Blog
Hi there — and welcome to The ADHD Blog.
We’re so glad you found us.
This space was created for one simple reason: to give an honest, real-life look at what it’s like to live with ADHD — not from a textbook, but from everyday experience inside our own home.
We’re not doctors or medical experts (and we don’t pretend to be). We’re parents, partners, and people who’ve spent years learning how ADHD actually plays out in daily life. Our goal is to share that experience openly, so others can feel a little less alone and a lot more understood.
If you’re looking for polished medical jargon, you’re in the wrong place.
If you’re looking for honesty, encouragement, humor, and practical insight from someone living it — welcome home.

Why We Started The ADHD Blog
Like many families, we started this journey with confusion, frustration, and a lot of late-night Googling. When our child was diagnosed with ADHD, it felt like stepping into a whole new world that no one really prepared us for.
We found resources that were helpful, but so many of them were written from a distant or clinical point of view.
What we really needed were stories — real ones — from parents and adults who “get it.”
That’s when the idea for The ADHD Blog was born.
We wanted a place where everyday people could share what ADHD looks like behind the scenes — the good days, the tough days, and everything in between.
Our first big piece, Living with ADHD: What It Really Looks Like in Our Home, set the tone for what this blog stands for: truth, compassion, and a bit of humor through it all.
What You’ll Find Here
This blog is our open notebook — a mix of stories, reflections, and simple tools that have helped us (and hopefully will help you, too).
We write about things like:
- What ADHD looks like at home, in school, and in relationships
- How to manage routines, focus, and emotional regulation
- Parenting a child with ADHD (and keeping your sanity while doing it)
- Productivity, mindset, and the small victories that make a big difference
You’ll find raw honesty here — not perfection. Some days are great, some are chaos, and we share both because that’s real life.
And since we’re firm believers in transparency, you can always read how we handle recommendations and partnerships on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
Our Approach: Real Talk, Not Medical Talk
Let’s get this straight: We do not offer medical advice.
We’re not doctors, psychologists, or licensed professionals — and that’s exactly why our readers trust us. Everything we share comes from personal experience, research, and open discussion.
If you ever read something here that sounds like it could apply to your health or your child’s, we encourage you to take that information to a qualified professional who can guide you personally.
Our posts are opinion-based, meant to help spark understanding and conversations — not diagnose or treat. You can find full details about how we handle this kind of content in our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy pages.
Our Family’s Story
Our story started like so many others — a few teachers mentioning focus concerns, some testing, a lot of emotions, and a mix of relief and worry when we heard those three letters: A-D-H-D.
Since then, life has been a mix of learning, patience, and constant adjustment. We’ve had days full of laughter and days that felt like an uphill climb. But through it all, one thing became clear: ADHD isn’t a flaw — it’s a different wiring of the brain that just needs a different kind of support.
We realized that the best way to navigate this was through understanding, communication, and a healthy dose of humor. And that’s what we try to bring into this blog — that spirit of “okay, this might be hard, but we’re going to figure it out together.”
You’ll see bits of that in posts like Living with ADHD: What It Really Looks Like in Our Home — where we pull back the curtain on what everyday life really looks like.
A Place for Everyone
Even though our journey started with a child who has ADHD, this space isn’t just for parents. It’s for anyone who’s been touched by ADHD — whether you have it yourself, love someone who does, or just want to better understand it.
We believe in celebrating all kinds of minds. ADHD can be challenging, yes, but it also comes with creativity, drive, and the ability to see the world in unique ways.
We want to shine a light on those strengths while still being honest about the struggles. Because pretending everything is perfect helps no one — but sharing the real stuff? That’s how we grow.
How We Keep Things Honest
We’re proud to say The ADHD Blog runs independently — no big sponsors, no corporate agendas, just honest writing.
When we do recommend a product or resource, we’ll tell you exactly why. Some of those links may be affiliate links (like to Amazon), meaning we may earn a small commission if you purchase through them.
You can always read more about how that works on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
Our goal isn’t to sell — it’s to help. Every recommendation comes from something that’s made life easier or better for us in some real way.
How to Reach Us
We love connecting with readers. Whether you want to share your story, ask a question, or collaborate, you can reach us directly through our Contact Page.
You can also follow and message us on Facebook, where we post updates, new articles, and stories from other families walking the same path.
Your feedback truly shapes this space. Every comment, message, or shared story helps us learn more — and helps others feel less alone.

What’s Next for The ADHD Blog
We’re just getting started. Our long-term vision is to grow The ADHD Blog into a full resource hub — one filled with personal stories, helpful guides, ADHD-friendly routines, and community connections that support both kids and adults.
We’re already working on new posts that cover things like:
- ADHD and family routines that actually work
- How to handle school struggles and IEP meetings
- Understanding emotional dysregulation in kids
- ADHD in adults (yes, parents — we see you, too)
- How to balance ADHD with relationships, work, and parenting
As we grow, we’ll always keep one promise: we’ll stay real. Because ADHD doesn’t need sugar-coating — it needs understanding, support, and a community that listens.
